Spades Monkey

Spades Monkey is a Freeverse Software character and sound add-on for Spades Deluxe, dropping a wisecracking monkey opponent into the publisher's flagship card game. It plugs in alongside the base title and turns a standard hand of partnership Spades into a far noisier affair around the virtual table.

What It Adds

The pack supplies a new computer player skin, a fresh set of voice clips, and the table-side animations that Freeverse fans came to expect from Burning Monkey Solitaire. The monkey heckles bad bids, celebrates set opponents, and reacts to nil hands with full personality.

Working With Spades Deluxe

The add-on requires a working install of Freeverse's Spades Deluxe - it will not launch standalone. Drop the plug-in into the Spades Deluxe folder and the new opponent appears in the player-selection menu next to the built-in characters.

Style

Spades Deluxe was already known for 3D-immersion graphics, room plug-ins, and a sense of humour borrowed from Freeverse's Burning Monkey universe. Spades Monkey leans hardest into that comic side, swapping the more reserved default opponents for a primate determined to entertain.

System Requirements

PowerPC Mac running Mac OS 8 or later, plus a registered copy of Spades Deluxe v1.5 or higher. Disk footprint is small since the pack reuses the host game's engine and card art.
