King Albert II v1.0 is Ricardo Rozemberg's color solitaire card game for the classic Macintosh, distributed as shareware through the Info-Mac archive. Described in its own readme as fascinating and absorbing, it presents the well-known King Albert patience in a clean Mac-native interface and is the English sibling to the Spanish localization.
About King Albert Patience
King Albert is a single-deck open solitaire: all cards are visible from the start, removing chance from the deal and placing the entire burden of planning on the player. Build the tableau down in alternating colors and the foundations up by suit, with seven reserve cards usable one at a time.
Shareware Terms
The game is shareware and may be freely distributed provided the Read Me-King Albert II document accompanies the application. The author asks players who enjoy the game to register with him directly.
System Requirements
King Albert II requires System 7.0 or later, a color-capable Macintosh with a 640x480 display, and roughly 1 MB of free memory. It is a 68k application and runs well under Mini vMac with color enabled or under SheepShaver.
