RightWord, by Tonbrand Software, is a five-letter word game and learning aid for children and adults. Players are given the first letter of a five-letter English word and must guess the rest, either solo or against an opponent on the same machine or over a local network.
Gameplay
Each round presents a starting letter and asks the player to deduce the full five-letter English word. Solo play is supported, and head-to-head matches can run on the same Mac or across an internal network.
Bingo Twist
RightWord layers a luck mechanic on top of word-guessing: players draw 'balls' and try to spell out RIGHT as a column, row, or diagonal in a colored bingo board. 'Red balls' can shift the course of the game.
Versions and Compatibility
Distributed in both 68K and PowerPC builds. Version 1.0.4 fixed a startup problem on Mac OS 7.0 and 7.1, and version 1.1.1 (PPC) is compatible with the Classic environment under Mac OS X Jaguar.
