Anagrams 2.3 is a fast, friendly anagram generator by Andrew Trevorrow, billed as a handy companion for Scrabble and crossword fans. David Pogue called it the new champion in Macworld - polished and screamingly fast. Released as a Carbon application with a $20 shareware fee.
What it does
Given a word or phrase, Anagrams enumerates every rearrangement that forms valid dictionary words, with controls for length, included letters, and word lists loaded from plain text files.
System support
The 2.3 release runs natively on Mac OS X as a Carbon binary and continues to run on Mac OS 8.6 or 9.x when CarbonLib 1.3 or later is installed, covering both Classic and early OS X workflows.
Author and shareware terms
Anagrams is the work of Andrew Trevorrow (also known for the Life simulator Golly), distributed for a $20 shareware fee with details and contact information at trevorrow.com.
