About

Fuffy 2.0 is a US$15 shareware multiplayer dice game by C-Y Khoo of fuffy.com, released April 14, 2000 from Winchester, England. It is a yahtzee-style game in which players roll five dice across thirteen rounds, scoring combinations into thirteen categories.

Major 2.0 Update

According to the author's announcement, version 2.0 was a major update aimed at improving the user and gaming experience. It added 68K Macintosh compatibility, an undo function to correct wrong scoring entries, and more robust handling of keyboard shortcuts.

Interface Polish

The 2.0 release introduced various interface enhancements, including "Roll Lights" to visually indicate the progress of a game so players can track how many rolls remain in the current turn at a glance.

Multiplayer Score Sheet

Multiplayer was enhanced in 2.0 by the addition of a score sheet display, giving competing players a clearer view of category scores as the game develops.

Distribution

Fuffy 2.0 was distributed as US$15 shareware via fuffy.com and the Info-Mac archive, where its release announcement is preserved as the BinHex header of the fuffy-20.hqx package.
