Tic-Tac-Toe by Jordan Pinsker is a 1993 Classic Mac implementation of the timeless three-in-a-row board game, offering both a single-player mode against the computer and a hot-seat option for two human players. At about 21 KB it is a quintessential System 7-era pocket diversion.
Gameplay
Players take turns placing X and O marks on a 3x3 grid; the application handles win and draw detection and resets the board for the next round.
Modes
Supports human-versus-computer matches as well as two-player local play on a single Mac.
Compatibility
Version 1.3 targets the 68k Macintosh line under System 7.0 through 7.6, and runs cleanly under modern emulators such as SheepShaver.
Footprint
The entire application fits in roughly 21 KB, reflecting the lean shareware coding style of the early 1990s Mac scene.
