Poly-Dol 1.09 is a Classic Mac OS board puzzle by S. T. Hong (STH at ecl.psu.edu), a sibling to Poly-Tile. Color pieces sit on a hexagonal or square grid, and the player rearranges them by sliding lines or rotating groups, with the goal of matching a target shape supplied by the puzzle.
Gameplay
Players slide pieces along horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines, or rotate pieces in place. The aim is to reshape the board until its colored pieces match the given target configuration.
Boards
The game supports both hexagonal and square grids, each offering a distinct movement geometry that changes how slides and rotations propagate across the playfield.
Family
Poly-Dol is part of S. T. Hong's Poly series on Info-Mac, which also includes Poly-Tile, Poly-Kin, Poly-RC, Polybrid, and Polytris, all sharing a clean Classic Mac aesthetic.
