Daily Tarot 2.0 is a Power Mac native tarot reading application by Doug Musto, a graphically intense follow-up to the popular Daily Tarot 1.1 from 1995. It draws from a fully rendered, original color tarot deck and produces daily readings focused on the major areas of life: love, money, and work.
What it does
The program lays out a daily tarot reading you can consult before heading out in the morning or before bed at night. Readings are scoped to love, money, and work, and you can set the forecast date yourself to look at any specific day rather than only today.
What's new in 2.0
Version 2.0 brings all-new artwork for the tarot deck, fully modeless dialogs, a new card viewer with find and interpretation features, and support for saving and printing daily forecasts. Personalization options let users tailor readings to themselves rather than running a single generic forecast.
Artwork
The author emphasizes that Daily Tarot 2.0 is "a graphically intense program" because it carries a fully rendered, original, unique tarot deck in full color, replacing the simpler imagery of the 1995 release. That artwork is the reason the build is Power Mac only.
System requirements
Daily Tarot 2.0 is PowerPC native and requires a Power Macintosh to run. It was distributed through Info-Mac as daily-tarot-20.hqx; support contacts were dmusto@adobe.com and musto3@ix.netcom.com.
