Thief Of Hearts

Thief of Hearts is a self-styled instructional graphic adventure released as shareware by Harley Bradley under the MagicHat Shareware label. It frames itself as a tongue-in-cheek dating tutorial in which nine animated guides walk the player through a sequence of pickup scenarios, classic mistakes, and date-night strategies.

Concept

The program presents itself as a step-by-step course in courtship, organized around the Six Steps to Success and the Seven Golden Rules. Each section combines short animations with clickable responses that the player must navigate to advance.

The Approach

An interactive practice mode lets the player rehearse pickup attempts on several different on-screen characters, then scores the result before any real-world encounter is attempted.

Mistakes and dates

Later sections include The 39 Classic Mistakes, plus extended chapters covering The First Date and The Second Date, advising on locations to avoid and follow-up tactics.

Distribution

The release in the Info-Mac archive is a demo. The full version was distributed by MagicHat Shareware and bundled on the author's Best of the Internet shareware CDs.
