Killer Dice Y2K is the millennium-themed sequel to the popular shareware poker dice game Killer Dice, refreshed for the year 2000 with an all-new set of "Y2K fortunes" served up by the in-game Man Who Knows All to anyone who scores high enough to consult him.
Gameplay
Killer Dice Y2K is a poker dice game in the Yahtzee tradition: roll, score against poker-style categories, and try to push your skill from novice to razor sharp. The release supports single, double, and triple game modes for solo or longer multi-round sessions.
Fortunes and high scores
The signature feature is the post-run fortune: clear the high-score table and the Man Who Knows All delivers your fortune. Registered users unlock the full pool of more than 1,000 Y2K fortunes, while unregistered players see a deliberately smaller selection - a classic 1990s shareware nudge.
System requirements
Killer Dice Y2K version 1.1 must be played in colour and was tested on Power Macintosh machines. It includes sound effects throughout and is distributed as $10 shareware via the Info-Mac game archive.
