This is a patch that updates Hellcats over the Pacific from version 1.0 to version 1.0.4. Posted in May 1994 by Tom Morrison, the updater applies only to a fresh, never-launched copy of Hellcats 1.0 and brings it in line with the final maintenance release of the classic Mac flight combat sim.
What it does
Patches Hellcats 1.0 directly to 1.0.4. A separate updater handles 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 to 1.0.4. The author notes that no patch is known for 1.0.1 and is unsure whether that version was ever officially released.
Headline change in 1.0.4
The major new feature is support for Sound Manager 3.0 or later, which finally lets AV-equipped Macs hear in-game sound. Versions 1.01 to 1.03 between were various bug fixes that this patch rolls up as well.

The reference Hellcats 1.0 file used to build the patch reports Size 397K, Created Jan 7 1992 6:26 PM, Modified Feb 5 1992 4:55 PM. To check your version, launch Hellcats and use the About item in the apple menu.
Bonus content
The package also includes the Pacific Conflict mission database, included because the author's copy was slightly larger and more recently dated than the one shipped on the original 1.0 disk.
