Chirak Attack (sometimes spelled Chirac Attack) is a freeware Macintosh arcade game written by Australian Year 12 student Michael Doyle and distributed via the address skeleton@geko.com.au. Doyle built the game as his Three Unit Computers Major Work, and released it freely so it could be passed around the Mac community.
Origin as a School Project
According to the read-me, Chirak Attack was created to satisfy the requirements of an Australian high-school computing course, which makes it a small but earnest example of late-1990s student-made Mac shareware.
Distribution Terms
The game is freeware. The author asks only that anyone passing the program along include all of the original files, including the read-me, so future players know who made it and why.
