hey porter, trying 2 build browser7under the latest mpw. and i'm still a noob learning on gcc and xcode. so i'm a little wide eyed. when i try 2 build browser7 with the makefile mpw complains it can't find the command C. could someone help me out?

They removed the original C and replaced it with Symantec's C, so it's now called "sc".

I am seriously trying to find the time to do the rendering. It will get done, I assure you all.

Ok Dumb qtn,

How does one make aliases under system 6 when sys6 doesnt do it?

I assume thinkC does but im needling thru this haystack trying to find out....

Anyone let me cheat and tell me the answer?

The answer is you can't so you don't.

I am able to build the project on System 6.0.7, no aliases involved. All includes have to be in the project directory. I threw the MacTCP.h in the Apple Includes folder.

Browser6 bombs "unimplemented trap" on System 6.0.8. I no longer have the emulators to test. Lack of MacTCP?

Yes it needs MacTCP, I make sure it doesn't if MacTCP not available.

I'm begining to think this project is vapour. Its valuable momentum seems to have slowed to a holt.

I have acquired a version of mpw 3.2 for system 6 sans dox , if anyone wants a copy pm me.

I also picked up a copy of think c v6 reference manual. All the great Api's and system calls are in it... $2 at the local dump recycling station! Anywho c Yas soon -dazza.

I'm begining to think this project is vapour.

Unfortunately real people have to write real code and that takes real time in the real world along side all the other real commitments and a real job.

I am continuing the project and will do a drop for Xmas in whatever state it is in. If it isn't going at the pace you want you are welcome to pick it up.

Geez, man, someone takes his valuable "free time" to produce ANYTHING that will run on your 15-y.o. machine and you diss him for not moving fast enough??? :disapprove:

the only thing I see that I would want in a system 6 browser is the google search bar in the top corner. that is the best thing ever

We need a link up at the top filling that blank space between the wiki and irc chat.

C'mon porter! Let us at least hear what features to expect in the next build.

I just noticed the blank space. Why is it there?

We do need a real "project page" for it though.

Why not make a SourceSorge or Google Code page for it?
