The Gallery is a fan-made Wolfenstein 3D scenario by Mike Hunter for the classic Macintosh, distributed through the Info-Mac archive. Set at the very end of World War II, the ten-level pack drops the player into Hitler's personal art gallery on a mission to end the war by destroying the dictator himself.
Premise and setting
With rumors of an impending end to the war, Hitler has retreated to his personal gallery, a fortress that houses art stolen during the conquest of Europe alongside the dictator's own paintings.
A ten-level scenario
The scenario is a self-contained ten-level pack designed to be played in the Macintosh port of Wolfenstein 3D, rather than a standalone game.
Community context
The release sits among a body of mid-to-late-1990s Wolfenstein 3D level packs for the Mac, an era when small authors traded scenarios via Info-Mac and personal home pages.
Author contact
Mike Hunter solicited feedback at his Scripps Research email address and pointed players to a Wolfenstein-themed page at www.scripps.edu/~mjhunter/wolfen.html for further levels.
