BonkHead Cheater is a small 1996-1997 utility by Cristiano Verondini that boosts the number of lives in saved games for the Macintosh arcade title BonkHead. Players simply drag a saved game file onto the application, and it rewrites the save to grant extra lives before the next play session.
What It Does
The tool operates entirely on saved-game files; it does not patch the BonkHead application itself. Drop a save on the icon and it bumps the life counter, then exits.
Version 1.1
Version 1.1 extended the original 1.0 release by adding support for two-player saved games, so cooperative or hot-seat sessions can be topped up with extra lives for both players at once.
Companion Game
The target game, BonkHead (also distributed on Info-Mac in versions such as 1.4.3), is a shareware whack-a-mole-style arcade game inspired by the gopher-bonking machines found in video arcades.
