NS-TOWER 2.4D is the German-language build of Akihiko Kusanagi's vertical jumping action game from NAGI-P SOFT, distributed as shareware through Info-Mac. The premise is simple: climb up the tower one floor at a time by holding the space bar or mouse button to charge a jump, then releasing it at the right moment to clear the next platform.
How it plays
The author's ReadMe describes NS-TOWER as an action game whose goal is to climb up the tower. You press and hold space or the mouse button to build power, then release to jump - the longer you hold, the higher you go. Floors come in different types, including conveyor belts that try to drag you off course, so timing and direction both matter.
What's in 2.4
The 2.4 generation of NS-TOWER added smooth scrolling and background music to the basic jump mechanic. The 2.4D ReadMe specifically calls out a new SpeedUp option and that the game now saves player settings between sessions. This entry is the German localisation of that 2.4 release.
Author and distribution
NS-TOWER was written by Akihiko Kusanagi at NAGI-P SOFT, who released it as shareware. The ReadMe explicitly grants Info-Mac permission to redistribute it on CD-ROM and asks other shareware publishers to seek approval before doing the same. Contact details point at the author's University of Tokyo address (nagi@hc.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp) and the NAGI-P SOFT homepage.
Why two siblings
This 2.4D German build sits alongside a 2.4F French build (and the original Japanese / English release) as a localised sibling of NS-TOWER 2.4. All three share the same core engine and changelog; only the user-facing strings differ.
