Maci Game is a small Classic Mac OS title preserved in the Macintosh Garden archive. Surviving documentation for the program is sparse, and the entry exists primarily so the original binary, resource fork, and any accompanying read-me are not lost to bit rot.
Preservation status
Like many lesser-known shareware and freeware releases of the System 6/7/8 era, Maci Game circulated through user-group disks, BBS uploads, and FTP archives. Its appearance in the Macintosh Garden catalog is part of a broader effort to keep small, niche Mac titles downloadable and runnable under emulation.
Running the title
Classic Mac binaries of this vintage typically require an emulator such as Mini vMac, Basilisk II, or SheepShaver, with an appropriate Classic Mac OS system folder. BinHex (.hqx) or StuffIt (.sit) wrappers may need to be expanded with a period-appropriate utility.
Help wanted
If you have the original packaging, manual, or first-hand recollection of Maci Game, contributions to the catalog page (author, year, genre, screenshots) are welcome. This entry will be expanded as verified information becomes available.
