Ms Rumble In The Jungle is a community-made custom world for Monkey Shines, the 1997 Classic Mac platformer by FantaSoft. It is not a standalone game but a level pack loaded through the Monkey Shines world format, distributed alongside dozens of other fan-built worlds for the same engine.
Built on the Monkey Shines engine
The pack runs inside FantaSoft's original Monkey Shines, reusing its physics, enemies, and bonus items while substituting new level layouts, tile art, and music to deliver a fresh campaign of side-scrolling levels.
Born from the registered-only level editor
FantaSoft shipped Monkey Shines with a built-in level editor reserved for registered users, and that editor is the source of every fan world that survives today, including the various Rumble In The Jungle variants traded across mid-1990s Mac shareware sites.
Jungle theming
As the title suggests, the levels lean on jungle and ape motifs that fit Monkey Shines' simian protagonist, swapping the base game's mixed environments for a more focused tropical setting.
Installation and use
Players drop the world file into a working Monkey Shines installation and select it from the in-game world picker, the same procedure used for every other custom Monkey Shines pack preserved in community archives.
