This package is the Question Module Maker (QMM) updater for All Good Things 3.0, released by Creative Thunder and ArrowSoft (thunder@king.igs.net). All Good Things is a Macintosh adventure-game authoring system in the Adventure Game Toolkit (AGT) lineage, and the bundled Question Module Maker had stability problems the updater was created to address.
What It Updates
The author's release note states the updater "will update the Question Module Maker bundled with All Good Things 3.0 and by itself." It targets both the standalone QMM tool and the copy shipped inside the All Good Things 3.0 distribution.
Why It Exists
The release note is blunt about the motivation: "Please run the updater as the Question Module Maker was extremely buggy. This should rectify that." The patch is essentially a stability fix rather than a feature release.
Lineage
All Good Things and its Question Module Maker sit in the broader AGT family of text-adventure tools begun by Mark J. Welch (GAGS, 1985) and David Malmberg (AGT, 1987-1992), made freeware in 1992 and ported to the Mac.
Distribution
The updater is preserved in the Info-Mac game archive as agt-qmm-301-updater.hqx, with the original BinHex header recording the author contact and release context.
