Bridget 2.2 Carbon is the OS X-targeted release of Kreative Software's two-player computer game Bridget, archived in Info-Mac as bridget-22-x.hqx. The 2001 readme identifies it as "the newest version of the two-player computer game Bridget," with bundled instructions and a rules engine that now refuses illegal moves outright.
Two-player design
Bridget is built as a strictly two-player computer board game; the readme does not advertise an AI opponent, only a shared-screen match between two human players on one Mac.
What is new in 2.2
The headline change in this Carbon build is rule enforcement: illegal moves are simply not allowed by the interface, replacing the looser checking of earlier Classic Mac OS releases. Game instructions ship inside the package.
Carbon target
The "X" in the filename and the "Carbon" in the subject line mark this as a Carbonised build aimed at the then-new Mac OS X, while remaining runnable on Mac OS 9 with CarbonLib.
