Alan's Euchre is a 1998 Mac implementation of the classic trick-taking card game by Alan Ewalt of Ewalt Enterprises. It is played with a 24-card deck (9 through Ace in each suit) by four players forming two teams, with the first side to reach 10 points winning the match.
How Euchre Plays
Each hand, partners must win at least three of five tricks to score. The trump suit, called by the maker, dominates ranking, with the right and left bowers acting as the two highest cards.
Mac-Native Card Table
The Mac build presents a clean four-handed table view with computer-controlled partners and opponents, suitable for solo practice or learning the game's bidding conventions.
Sibling Releases
Alan's Euchre sits alongside other Ewalt Enterprises card titles preserved in the archive, part of a small family of late-1990s shareware card games for the classic Mac OS.
