About

This package collects user-built scenarios for V for Victory: Market-Garden, the third title in Atomic Games' acclaimed World War II hex-and-counter series published by Three-Sixty Pacific in 1993. The base game shipped with a scenario editor, and the community responded with custom what-if and historical variants distributed through Mac archives.

The parent game

V for Victory: Market-Garden recreates Operation Market Garden, the September 1944 Allied airborne and ground offensive in the southern Netherlands. The player typically commands the British XXX Corps and airborne divisions tasked with seizing and holding bridges across the Maas, Waal, and Nederrijn rivers, culminating at Arnhem.

What add-on scenarios provide

Community scenarios extend or rework the campaign with alternative orders of battle, adjusted reinforcement schedules, smaller tactical engagements, and what-if branches that explore different drop zones or weather. They load into the original game engine and reuse its terrain, units, and combat resolution.

Series context

Atomic Games' V for Victory line was praised by Computer Gaming World and PC Gamer for combining accessible point-and-click controls with serious operational-level wargaming. Market-Garden was preceded by D-Day: Utah Beach and Velikiye Luki and followed by Gold-Juno-Sword.

Requirements

Scenarios require a working installation of V for Victory: Market-Garden on a Classic Mac OS system capable of running the original 1993 release.
