Santa Droppings Mac is a holiday-themed freeware action game for Classic Mac OS in which the player takes the role of Erni, the Aeternitas mascot, helping Santa deliver Christmas presents by dropping them down chimneys from above. The premise frames a simple aim-and-release arcade loop around a save-Christmas storyline.
Gameplay
The player flies over rooftops and times each drop to land a present in the chimney below. Santa is in trouble and needs help making his rounds, so the run-of-show is essentially a holiday score-attack: get presents on target before Christmas Eve runs out.
Holiday theme
The whole presentation leans into Christmas iconography: snowy roofs, chimneys as targets, presents as ammunition, and Erni standing in for Santa's missing helper. It is one of a small clutch of festive German Mac freeware titles aimed at the late-1990s family desktop.
License and developer
The game is freeware, distributed by Aeternitas as promotion for the Erni mascot. There is no shareware fee or registration to unlock, which made it easy to bundle on cover CDs and Info-Mac compilations.
System
Santa Droppings Mac requires a PowerPC 603 or better and 32 MB of free memory, putting it in reach of any mid-1990s Power Mac. It is distributed as the standard Info-Mac .hqx archive under game/.
