This Weather entry is a sibling release to the better-known Mac OS X Dashboard widget of the same name. Like its counterpart, it provides at-a-glance current conditions and a short outlook for a user-selected location, packaged as a small classic-Mac or early OS X utility.
What it provides
The application surfaces the current temperature, a weather icon summarizing sky conditions, and a multi-day forecast. A preferences pane lets the user pick a city or postal code and toggle Fahrenheit and Celsius units.
How weather data was delivered
Period weather utilities for the Mac typically polled a remote feed (an Apple-hosted endpoint or a third-party service such as Weather.com or AccuWeather) over HTTP and parsed the response into the widget's display fields. Many such feeds have since been retired, leaving these tools archival.
Why two listings
Macintosh Garden frequently hosts more than one upload of a popular utility when versions, languages, or repackagings differ. Treat this entry as a sibling archive; cross-check the bundled Read Me for the exact build and any modder credits.
Compatibility
Targets the classic Mac OS or early Mac OS X eras typical of small weather widgets. On modern macOS the underlying weather feed is unlikely to resolve, so the tool is preserved primarily for historical reference.
